how can i make a DVD?

can you explain me the process of making a DVD or just put a link where i can download informations?

Here's what I do. I have Sonic Foundry (www.sonicfoundry.com) Vegas Video + DVD Architect. I edit my project in Vegas, then render it as a DVD Architect MPEG 2 (I must render the audio seperately to either AC3 or WAV depending on whether I'm doing 5.1 surround) I also render short bits of video or audio for any thumbnail animations I'm going to use in the DVD menus. Then I go into DVD architect. Any markers I have made in the Vegas project are automatically saved as chapter markers in DVD Architect. I use the easy interface to create the look of my DVD (animated thumbnails, start up video and audio, music for my menu pages, etc.) and watch the real time preview to make sure everything is as I want it. Then hit prepare and render (the program prepares and rerenders anything not in the roper format) and then it creates a file to burn your DVD's. Then I insert a blank DVD-R and hit Burn DVD. It's a very cool combo of programs, and very easy to use.
